The judges commended Inspiration as: “ A particularly clear, direct and helpful approach. A comprehensive package of attractive material”l and a “lovely book ”The authors, Philip Prowse and Judy Garton-Sprenger and the publisher Carl Robinson were presented with a certificate at a ceremony at St. James`Palace on7th November 2005.

Inspiration is a motivating and sophisticated four-level course designed to take teenagers (13–16 year olds) from beginner to intermediate level. It is a course that evolves with its students, the topics reflecting teenagers’ changing needs and interests.
Key features
Inspiration Extra! Sections contain Revision and Extension exercises to cater for differences in ability. These pages also offer creative project work, songs, games, puzzles, poems, and sketches to act out.
Culture sections feature in every other unit which arouse students´ interest, build cross-cultural awareness and encourage discussion.
Review sections at the end of every unit give regular opportunities for revision and self-assessment progress checks
A detailed grammar summary is given at the back of the Student´s Book
The topic-led syllabus integrates distinct grammatical, lexical, pronunciation, skills and learner independence syllabi.
Careful attention is paid to skills development in the main lessons and the Integrated Skills lesson in each unit.

Student´s Book
The Student´s Book interweavers a strong skills syllabus with motivating topics and activities. The progression of the course evolves with the students, reflecting their changing needs and interests.
Workbook
The Workbook follows the structure of the Student´s Book with a wealth of additional exercises, including brainteasers, crosswords, a unit-by-unit story for extensive reading and suggestions for further reading and follow-up work on the internet
Teacher´s Book
The Teacher´s Book brings lots of fresh new ideas to the classroom with numerous suggestions for warmers, optional activities and follow-up activities. It also includes additional cultural information to answer those difficult questions.
Inspiration Builder
Inspiration Builder is a teacher´s resource pack with additional photocopiable material to practice the target language. It provides a wealth of extra material to supplement the course with a range of activities to suit different learner styles.
Test CD with audio
These editable test CDs include 24 short tests on grammar and vocabulary, 8 medium-length tests on language and integrated skills for the whole unit, a placement test, mid-course tests and end-of-term tests. Each CD covers two levels. |
