Students of foreign languages have access to a
greater number of career possibilities and develop a deeper understanding of
their own and other cultures.
To survive in tomorrows occupational world, it is
vital that all children of today learn at least one second language early in
life to stand a chance of obtaining fluency in it.
Learning the spoken language is also not enough,
the children should also learn the grammar, reading, writing and spelling of
the language to stand any chance of mastering it. This should also be taught
as early as possible.
Bilingual children have an advantage over
monolingual children when they leave school. School English, French, Latin
and Spanish is not sufficient enough for the children of tomorrow.
